Central Rivers AEA is excited to offer a professional learning opportunity focused on Adult Mental Health. Adult Mental Health First Aid is an evidence-based opportunity designed to help adults understand the basics of mental health concerns and provides participants with evidence-based strategies to identify and support individuals who may be struggling. Unlike other learning opportunities, Adult Mental Health First Aid focuses on providing individuals with the tools needed to respond to and support others in a mental health crisis. This is a ‘blended’ course. It includes two hours of self-paced learning and zoom training.

Adult Mental First Aid Dates (only sign up for one section) Course # 201611:

  • Section 1: June 2 and 3, 8:30 – 11:30 am (12 seats left)
  • Section 3: June 9 and 10, 8:30 – 11:30 am (27 left)

Staff are strongly encouraged to consider this learning and build understanding and tools!  We all know someone who is struggling with mental health, and this course provides an opportunity to learn how to respond and support our friends, family, and colleagues.  If you are interested in signing up for this course, please contact your Regional Administrator and register on the AEA PD system (Course #201611). EQ funds are available for this learning.
