IEP Development using the SDI Framework is an interactive learning opportunity for all LEA and AEA staff involved in providing quality special education services and supports for students age 3 to 21.
Participants will engage with the SDI Framework to effectively diagnose, design and deliver an Individualized Education Program for students with disabilities ages 3 -21. Key components discussed and implemented include: SCIL (Setting, Curriculum, Instruction and Learner); RIOT (Review, Interview, Observe, Task/Tool); Iowa Core and Learning Progressions, Assessment and the Six Critical Elements of Secondary Transition.
All participants will spend Day 1 (onsite in CL/CF/MTN) learning together. Day 2 (onsite in CL/CF/MTN) provides an opportunity to practice and implement content either with a non-transition or transition IEP.
Day 3 (1/2 day via Zoom) participants will share implementation and receive additional feedback.
