Central Rivers AEA is offering two workshops on the topic of suicide to provide you with the tools you need to support others.
The Suicide Awareness Workshop is a gatekeeper training designed to help staff better understand suicide protective and risk factors, warning signs, how to support students in crisis, and dispel myths.
The Suicide Risk Assessment Workshop is designed for school-based mental health professionals tasked with completing suicide risk assessments. This workshop is intended to increase the participant’s knowledge base in performing suicide risk assessments. Participants will be able to differentiate between a suicide risk screening and suicide risk assessment, identify when a risk assessment should occur, and understand the key components of a suicide risk assessment.
