Student Level ISASP Data via EdInsight

EdInsight, which is an application on the Iowa Education Portal, recently completed a report update that allows users to access student-level ISASP data.  This document provides a summary of the steps users need to follow as they work to access these data.  In addition to providing a pathway to the data, users will also find links to several data analysis tools.

Misc Data Analysis Resources/Notes

  • Because of Covid-19 school closures, the ISASP assessment was not administered in the spring of 2020.  Therefore, these data are from the spring of 2019 and represent the most recent data that are available regarding student performance on our state-wide assessment. Thus, you will need to identify the grade level the student in question was in during the spring of 2019.
  • The resulting ISASP student data from EdInsight only depicts the area/subtest scores for ELA (including Reading and Writing) Mathematics and as appropriate Science (only grades 5, 8 and 10).  For finer-grained domain scores, you will need to access these data via district staff using their Pearson Access account.

If you have any questions regarding these directions, the resulting ISASP data, or the misc. resources, feel free to contact Joe Kremer (jkremer@centralriversaea.org)
