Iowa Instructional Framework Training

Earlier this year, the Iowa Department of Education selected the National Institute for Excellence in Teaching (NIET) rubric as the basis for the Iowa Instructional Framework.  An instructional framework creates a common instructional language and vision for quality teaching across an entire school district. The use of this instructional framework by Iowa schools is completely voluntary, and if a district is currently using a different framework or rubric that works well in their context, they should feel empowered to continue as planned.

The next round of learning opportunities for the Iowa Instructional Framework is coming up soon.  Central Rivers AEA Staff should only attend if their district is attending and planning to implement.  Please visit with your Regional Administrator for more information. Link to Registration
